Maple Manor Care Center, a not-for-profit long team care facility, is currently seeking an experienced individual for the position of Administrator.  Maple Manor Care Center is a 49-bed Skilled Nursing Facility with an attached 24-unit Senior Housing Complex.

Job Summary:

The administrator must be licensed by the State of North Dakota. He/She is responsible for the management of the facility. He/She must enable the facility to use its resources effectively and efficiently to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

 

Duties:

 

  • Overall director of the entire Care Center

  • The role of the nursing home administrator is to supervise, plan, develop, monitor, and maintain appropriate standards of care throughout all departments in the nursing home. The nursing home administrator must have effective communication, leadership, and business skills to be successful

  • A nursing home administrator is responsible for maintaining all operations of the Care Center

  • Places major emphasis on program development and coordination of services

  • Advises on hiring, training, and supervising employees

  • Maintains all records, funds, and statistics

  • Meets with licensing and regulatory authorities

  • Authorizes purchases of supplies and equipment

  • Superintends the physical operation of the Care Center

  • Prepares regular inventories, inspects equipment periodically, and supervises the maintenance of the building and grounds

  • Explores all possible sources of income, checking, bills, and disbursements

  • Represents the Care Center at association meetings

  • Promotes and elevates the image of the Care Center

  • Must have a vast knowledge of the Emergency Management Program, HIPAA, OSHA requirements, QA/QAPI, Infection Control, Safety/restraint, the ND rate-setting Manual, SOM, Medicare/Medicaid payment systems, Private Insurances for in house residents

  • Facilitates and attends all meetings

  • Experience with COVID requirements

  • Must be a leader in the Survey process and know how to correct the POC

  • The Administrator must be able to step into a position that has been vacated by the Deparmtnemtn Supervisor and direct the Department as if the SUpervisor was there.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 3+ years of Long Term Care Administrator Experience preferred or a bachelor's degree in Long Term Care Administration from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of one course in each of the following: Management, finance, human resources, and gerontology.

  • Must have current ND State Administrators License

  • COVID Vaccine is required unless an approved exemption is presented upon hire
